Thanks Greg for the address of the NRC minutes. Reads like bureaucratic hogwash. With all the positive testimony with respect to safety from other states and the L.E. community, gotta wonder who had DFW's ear. What the heck is a "social issue"? Best I can tell it is a proposal with opposition and support. How unusual! DFW just needs the stones to support a proposal that doesn't have 100% support. But, they don't and won't. What a joke! Bought six boxes of sabot slugs today. Out to my 215 yard range to do some research. (after it stops raining and is 20 degrees warmer). Last comment, the Rem Accu Tips are $3 off and the Win Partition Gold are $2 off at Gander.

Before someone starts counting for and against lets start where he left off ..Unless you have so much time on your hands you don't have anything else to do...and you really want to go crazy in a hurry...

Didnt you say in the past that if it were a landslide one way or the other they would have to take that direction or the public would revolt? "Landslide" to the DNR is 80% (reference Proposition #1)... I doubt it was anywhere close to that...,

Since HPR'S are so dangerous that we just can't use them for deer then I simply can't understand how we can possibly use them for any other game. Honestly, how can be safe enough to even use in a firing range that isn't a closed range for police or military only.
It is time to start pushing for a complete ban on any center fire round no matter what type of gun it is fired out of. With so much opposition to their use for deer I can't see any reason why there won't be enough support to accomplish this very important social issue.

Maybe people's thinking has to do with the mass amount of people that are afield in our firearms season verses people out coyote hunting..just thinking out loud?

And that wasn't even counting the names on the petition that started the whole proposal, as I had no access to it.
I'm going to make a push to get the DNR to reduce the minimum bullet diameter from .358" to .308", since incrementalism seems to be the method that slips past the opposition.

Come on now don't muddy the water with FACTS... The FACTS are there are no more people in Indiana during firearms season than any other day, unless there is some huge whitetail hunting migration that I haven't heard of.

Huntnfreak, I have thought about that argument. Nonetheless, I hunt private and public land and only once did I cross paths with another hunter. It was Spring turkey season this year in Clark county. Never happened deer hunting and I hunted Hoosier National hard last gun season in Clark county. Never even saw another truck where I parked. In my experience, that dog don't hunt. Just sayin......
