I moved to Bloomington, IN last May from TN. My wife got her first job at NSWC Crane. I love Indiana so far. The only issue is I haven't found any die hard bowhunters to hunt with. I have gained access to 360+ acres of private ground across 3 different farms around Bloomington.
Who would like to hunt together in Indiana?
Who would like to hunt together at Crane?

I do, I do!!! But I have 3 kids and other commitments, so would be unable to make it that far on a regular basis. A few times a year would probably the best I could manage

I'll hunt with ya, but it'll have to be turkeys in Tennessee.
Where are you from in Tennessee?

My brother is one of the police officers on Crane, wasn't aware that non-employees could hunt the place?? Perhaps it is immediate family as well then? Either way congrats on the buck bud and perhaps I may be interested if my current situation changes like it may, be a good excuse to come down to my brothers a few more times a year.

You have to be an employee or their dependent. I am grateful to have the opportunity hunt there.

You and I have spoken before on Archerytalk. Glad to hear that you are liking it in Indiana, and good on you for offering hunting opportunities to others.

Thanks for the interest fellas. I found a couple of people to bow hunt and shed hunt with. I am looking forward to planning the 2015 season.
BTW I am always looking to meet people that bow hunt at Crane.

Thanks for the interest fellas. I found a couple of people to bow hunt and shed hunt with. Good deal! Even though I'm only 20 minutes from you, I figured that since I have quite a few places to hunt that I'd leave it to others "more in need". I am always looking for places to whack coyotes though. LOL!

My Dad is bringing his FoxPro up Feb or March and we are are going to try to hammer some! Coyote season ends on March 15, 2015, but it you get landowner permission IN WRITING, you can shoot them year round. One of the proposals that the NRC is considering this year is to eliminate the requirement for the permission to be in writing.
