I have a Remington 1100 I have been using for a lot of years and all of a sudden I cant get it to group shots any more. This is the first year I have had this problem. Any ideas why this has suddenly happened? also I have had a scope on this gun for as long as I have had it with no problems until this year also. I was shooting with it then it fogged up and cant hardly see out of it any more. I put a different scope on it thinking this might be why the gun wasn't grouping any more. it wasn't the problem because the gun still wouldn't group with the new scope on it.

Is your scope mounted on the barrel or on the receiver portion of your Model 1100?? Also did you try another brand of ammunition, and is your barrel rifled?? Could also be lose bases or your new scope might be defective.

The list of what it could possibly be is only so long ... go through and check each item off one by one.
Barrel tight to the receiver. Barrel free from any visible defects?
Cantilever barrel? Has the cantilever come loose?
Barrel with a receiver drilled and tapped? Are the screws used on the mounting rail still tight?
Barrel with a saddle style scope mount? Again, are the mounting screws for the saddle still secure?
Rings in good shape? Torqued?
Scope ... even though its a different one is no guarantee the second one isnt bad. Guys have been known to have luck that bad.
Using the same slugs you have used, and that worked, in the past? Tried multiple boxes of the same with the same results? Tried different brands with the same results?

You've likely thought of it already, but sabots can leave plastic deposits that wreak havoc with accuracy.
