Greetings Well done Told you so, Now give the dog a big big well done and a biscuit. Save some blood in a bottle, in a day or two get dad to drag a rag with a little blood on it, then fifteen minutes later bring your dog along and let it track the blood to a biscuit your dad left at the trail end Give it a week of that and you have the start of a deer dog. You should Never loose a shot deer again. Oh save the legs and drag them alternate day. Regards Billy

Congrats and I'm glad that you kept after it. Give the dog a treat!!
You know you WILL have to tell us the whole story, with pictures. I agree with Billy, I think that with a little bit of work your dog will turn into a good tracking dog.

Awesome news.
I'm particularly intersted in where the deer went, and what caused the difficulty in locating it (other than the lack of visible blood of course). Looking back on it now, is it something that was predictable, or was it completely random? Perhaps there's something that we can all learn and apply next time we're tracking one ourselves?
