Im not sure how long I have been hunting .... 30 years maybe .... and not wearing gloves has never bothered me. It still doesnt bother me but smelling like the dude in texas chainsaw massacre makes the wife and kids a little green. Household Bleach will fix that..... Don't bath in it just wash& rinse hands!!!

Cleaning up your hands with full strength bleach?!?!?!? Man you are a MAN for doing that....haven't read the label on bleach lately but something tells me contact with full strength bleach is NOT recommended? When I used to collect effluent samples from sanitary sewers, we would hose the equipment down with a mix of 1 gallon of water to one cup of bleach. In a communicable disease/first aid class I took, they old us to clean up body fluids with a mix of 1 gallon water to 1/2 cup of bleach. Straight bleach on your skin is not a good idea.

I always saw pelvis. Makes getting to the bladder easier and that saves about 10 bucks in cover scent.

I'm real old school as I kinda like the smell. If it take's more than 5 minute's to gut a deer you need to watch video. Key to me is to not puncture stomach, intestine's or urine bag. Even if you do a good cleaning with a water hose will save the meat, plus help cool it down quickily. Field dressing should be such a bad chore, and Hunters should ALWAYS wear some sort of gloves when cleaning ANY game. After bagging my Deer, I like to drag it to an area with the rear end of the Deer is some what facing downhill. That way, by lifting the Deer up so the blood will drain out, makes it less messy while carefully removing the internal organs. When I get the Deer back to the house, I wash it out and allow it to cool, then take it to my processor.

I carry 2 5 gallon buckets of water in back of truck with lids on them. Have a gutting bag with knife, butt out, zip ties, marker, pen, pre filled out tags except for date and time. I have a pair of gutting pants. They are the old rain pants that would pretty much tear if you tried to put them on over your boots. I also have the old rubber boots I put on and some old towels in there too.
