2 does and a ton of squirrels and turkeys. As a bonus 2 coons peeked around tree to look at me for the morning heart attack. Got dressed for frost and 30 degree weather. Its 50 degrees this morning, another blown forecast for the weekend. Acorns are everywhere and every low hanging limb in the field has been mangled and a scrape below it.

Yeah, I am overdressed as well. I am one of those guys who can take cold weather and I was sweatin up a storm.
Had a doe come in downwind right behind me from the neighboring farm and let the world know I am here.
I will give it another 30 minutes then climb down and load up on persimmons.

Seen another doe that walked around for a bit but never got closer than 60 yards. Feel bad my buddy that came with me this morning. We were crossing a sketchy beaver dam across the creek and the weight of his climber threw him off...submerged in the water. He wanted to stick with the hunt anyway. I know I wouldn't have

What little wind current there is is swirling. Here's what I had to deal with this morning regarding the wind. LOL! I moved my stand location about 30 yards from where it was yesterday with hopes that the three does I saw yesterday would pass by again today on the same trail. They didn't. Around 9:10 AM, I heard busting brush to my left, and looked to see a doe trot through the saplings and stop about 30 yards away behind obstructions. She looked around nervously and trotted off straight away from me. About five minutes later, I heard busting brush and heavy breathing coming down the ridge that the doe had come down. It turned out to be a pack of six dogs that were running that doe, but way behind her. They cut my wind, stopped on a dime and started looking around, then headed for the next county in a hurry. People that violate the law by letting their dogs run loose off their property ought to be fined out of existence.

Been locked in since 5 this evening..this mornings hunt was eventful ..had a button pass within range behind me at 8am and then i had a 8 point come in from in front ..i was fiddling in my mind on wether or not i should take him but he never offered a shot so he pretty much made up my mind for me..he was high racked and spread almost to tip of his ears..brows probably only a inch if that..he was young but im not gonna lie, he would have been my biggest bow buck...so im out here again waiting for mr right..i wish everyone a great hunt this evening...

Locked in and ready to go in the all natural. Have a big buck that's been coming through at about 8:15 every night. Gonna try to bring him out early!

Just got a text from my lease partner. This buck was killed on a bordering property. Pretty nice buck.
