I have a chance to buy an old Western Fields .410 bolt action for a reasonable price. As I understand it it was a mail order gun made by Mossberg for Montgomery Ward. It's a bolt bun that holds three or four shots in an internal magazine. It's nothing special but I think it's kind of cool. Any of you "old timers" remember these?

They sold 'em in popular gauges. Many of them had the big ol' poly-choke.

My first ever shot gun was a Western Auto Revelation 410 3 shot bolt action. Dad bought it for me when I was 9 years old. I killed a boat load of rabbits and squirrels with it as a kid growing up. I still have it today.

A friend of mine, back in Evansville, had one in 12 gauge. Also, my Grandfather had one in 20 gauge, way back when he lived in Illinois way back in the 1940's.

I just happen to own 2 Westernfield 410 shotguns, one is a pump the other is a bolt action. My mother worked for Monkey Wards and so my older brothers got these when they had a 20% off sale coupled with an employee discount made these guns rather affordable. They are not very good on squirrel but were great on rabbits.

Sure I remember them; don't think I ever fired one though.
