I think Im gonna limit myself to the selfbow come October. now if I could just get someone to trade me 2 0r 3 stone tipped cane shafts for something like... a pair of PSE Competition limbs (ILF recurve MEDs 38s)

That would be quite a challenge but by that shooting it looks like you are up for it..
Good luck!

That's great! Its a challenge but when you put one down its a great feeling. I know a very talented knapper here in Indiana. He made the point that I used on my deer last fall. PM if you want and I'll see if he is interested in a trade. He is a good guy and very generous.

pm sent side note.... those clearance aisle turkey dekes stuffed full of walmart bags make great targets. At least for trad bows. Id bet theyd stop a compound to downright fun making them spin on their stakes. (wife got one with the mower :/ )

Looks like you are good to go. Rinehart makes makes a flamingo target fwiw. I'm committing to using only a recurve for archery season but a self bow - think you have me beat!!

Looks like you got that cane pretty straight and got it flying good. I can't wait to see you post a deer this fall with it.
