38 special has got to be a joke right? 45acp and 38special are interesting choices indeed.

Not that I'd use one, but 38 Spl can be loaded to essentially duplicate 357.

You are right that their agenda sticks out like a sore thumb. An OBR and a 5 year moritorium on new methods has absolutely nothing to do with re-growing the herd. It is a "let's grow more trophies and keep out crossbows and PCRs". They are using the "never let a good crisis go to waste as you can get things done that you couldn't otherwise" Rahm Immanuel method.

That's great. Hope the same thing happens on our side. I sure do love the 444's and 4570. Less work having to shorten them.

I went to the Ohio DNR site to see how the handgun calibers were listed, this is what I found: "Handgun: with 5-inch minimum length barrel, using straight-walled cartridges .357 caliber or larger."
I'm very wary of using the term "pistol cartridges", I remember having to sign for 22 rimfire ammo because it could be used in a handgun, there may have been an age requirement of 21 also.

I remember, after the 1968 GCA, that one couldn't purchase .22 rimfire ammo unless they were 21 years of age. This was due to the fact .22's could be used in a handgun. Example: When I was 20 years old, in the Spring of 1969, I purchased a .270 Winchester model 770 rifle & also purchased a couple boxes of .270 ammunition. Since I was at the store, I decided to buy a few boxes of .22 LRHPs HOWEVER, couldn't due to the fact that I wasn't 21 years old, HOWEVER, I could buy a couple boxes of .270 ammunition!! My purchase of the .270 ammunition was also recorded in a "Ammo Bound Book", required for all ammunition purchased per the rules of the ATF.
