Saw the pic's on facebook over the weekend. (HUGH.) Said it was a hybrid of some sort. It was caught in trap. Same hunter has also got 2 more around the 150-160 lb range this year. Don't know how to download the pic or I would.

I've never heard of a Coyote of that size!! The largest Coyote, I ever shot, weighed around 45 pounds. Please post some photos if possible. Sounds like a "Coy-Dog" to me.

I would have to personally verify that one in order to believe it .... not many dogs are truly that big. Not many wolves are truly that big.

According to the article it was trapped in Northern Ohio. It is believed to be a wolf/coyote hybrid? ? Met,the pick on facebook says 185. But says 175 in the article. Who know's??? (Pick look's real.) I saved pic to my facebook page but have no idea how to get it over here??

It can be believed to be anything you want it to be, because the article I saw said it wasn't tested for anything.
I'm not sure how you cross a dog/coyote or wolf/coyote or wolf/dog and get something twice as big as either of them?

Save the pic to your desktop then upload it to a picture hosting site like Photobucket. Or post the FB link here and someone will post it.

Is this it? OK let me point out that the hasp of the trap is in reality only about a 3 inch piece of flat steel .And the chain is actually quite small on those # 4s .That's a great play with the guy being several feet behind that decent sized coyote .But that dog never saw 100# let alone 184. Notice that that 3 inch hasp is almost as big as the mans head ..LOL the things people try to sell as fact is amazing to say the least . All that makes that coyote look as big as it is "creative photography" .JMHO because a magazine said it is something does not make it fact as most times they only print what was sent to them .I mean once a few years ago I saw a pic and shot story of a supposed 350# 14 point buck that was killed in LA. but once you saw the pic you knew that deer was lucky if it was 200 on the hoof .People just get over excited sometimes or like to tell fish /game stories .

Heck, a pure wolf would be lucky to hit that weight. That's just an above-average coyote with quite a bit of "long-arming" going on in the photo.

a few things stand out, first he is far behind the coyote, second the biggest trap allowed to be set on land in Ohio is 5 5/8" or a #3, which would not hold an animal that size, nor would the cable stake.
its photoshopped .

This is one of those situations where the use of punctuation is extremely important. 175lb 17.5 lb
