My bow had been off the last couple of times I shot it, so I decided I need to go by the bow shop to shoot indoors to make sure all was good. I showed up a little after 7:00, thinking they were open until 8:00, and Mike, the owner, was outside and told me they were closed. I told him I stopped by to shoot a bit and make sure everything was squared up on my bow. He told me he'd unlock the shop and take a look at it. Turns out my string had stretched and he got me fixed up. He let me shoot a few arrows to get it on target. He spent about an hour just hanging out with me and chatting about different things.
I'm really happy that I bought a Mathews and I'm even happier I bought it at a shop that will cater to their customers even though they were closed for the day.

Good deal....you don't see that kind of customer service much anymore. Mathews was the first sponsor to respond to my plea for stuff for "goody bags for the youth hunt.. Good people.

Mike's a good guy. I've shot down there a couple of winter leagues a few years ago, and bought some smaller stuff from him, and chatted a bit at a few shoots with him and Brandy.
My B-I-L and nephew have bought their last few bows there and had him service them and do strings, etc., and have always been well pleased with his work.

Another for The Barn. I had my bow out last week and noticed it was off again, so I took it to the shop. Brandy took a look at it and said the string had stretched a bit. She got me fixed up so I could have it to hunt over the weekend. I went ahead and put in for a new string since stretching seemed to be an issue with the factory string. My wife dropped the bow off on Tuesday and Mike had the new string on for me yesterday, even though their computer with all the string specs had crashed this week. Mike helped me get the bow back on target, then he and Brandy spent about an hour hanging out with my wife and me. They just had a new corn stove installed in the shop and Mike was pretty excited about that. I have to say the thing was pretty cool and really put off good heat. Mike just went full time with his custom string shop and Brandy now runs the archery shop. I said it before, but I'll say it again...I'm really happy to have purchased my bow from a shop that really cares about their customers. My wife and I always enjoy going to the shop, because Mike and Brandy treat us as if we've been friends for years.

Sounds like the kind of place that's worth a little extra driving to check out!
