I have a traditions 50 cal. hawkin woodsman that I have deer hunted with for years and it is very accurate. My question is I love to squirrel hunt,is it possiable to put a 32 cal. barrel on this gun and where would I get one .I like the Crockett rifles but I dont have that kind of money. If someone makes them I thought that I would just get another barrel.Any help would be appreciated.

I am not sure of the Green Mountain barrel Co status. They used to make a replacement barrel for TC's that could be modified to fit most of the TC Hawken clones. It is no big problem to breech a barrel and fit sights to it. Post a picture of the lock and breech area and I will be better able to offer suggestions. A pic of the breech when removed from the stock will help too. Very doable with the right tools. Maybe just some filing.
