How's the acorn crop this year? I hope it's good since the corn did not make. I hunt in Parke county .

Bur oaks I've seen have good acorns, white oaks are very small acorns and not seen too many red oak acorns at all yet.

The squirrel are feeding on what oaks there are in my area.(Vermillion County)The acorn mast here is spotty but somewhat isolated stands of oak are mature.Lots of acorns fell pre-maturely or just didn't make during the drought and are small.Where there was sufficient moisture areas and nuts are where the squirrels are.A spot just 18 mile north of me looks much better than in my area.
