Just as an FYI, I bought some Speer Gold Dot ammo for my CW9 to use as carry ammo... I didn't notice until I got home with it that it was rated as +P ammo. I could find nothing about whether my CW9 was rated for it, so an email was sent to Kahr. According to the response I got, all Kahr firearms are rated for +P, so if you want to run that ammo, go ahead! Thanks for the info Dan! For some who may not know (like me until I did a bit of searching), +P stands for higher Pressure. Basically, guns rated to handle +P ammo by the SAAMI can handle higher chamber pressures. Here is a link with more data: www.handgunsmag.com/2010/09/24/ammunition_demystplusp_0306-7/Good to know about the Kahr and correct me if I'm wrong on the above notes Dan.

Good to know. Ironically, this is the ammo that I was going to use to cc as well. By the way 200 round mark has been reached with no issues..good gun!

I couldnt wait and went this afternoon and picked it up.
Stripped it down completly and cleaned it then ran 50 rounds through it.
Only one little hiccup .... on the first 6 shots the slide did not lock open after the last shot. Only happened once.
I will say 2 things.
1: This is the perfect size gun for CC IMO.
2: It is the most accurate semi auto I have ever shot. I was standing 21 feet from the target and just half way trying and could hit a softball at that distance. I am no pistol marksman.

Ok, now that I've helped turn you guys on to the Kahrs, you can quit with the reports on the CM9! I want one worse than I did before!! Worst part is, I've got the cash sitting in the gun cabinet at the moment, but until the dust settles over the next couple of months from my divorce I don't want to spend it on a gun.

The earliest I have any tentative plans on getting back to IN is June. I'm sure my kids will be coming back for their summer "visit" but I don't know if I'll be flying back with them again this year or how they are getting there yet. I'll keep it in mind though! Dad has an LCP that I know he needs to run a few more round through yet too.

Don't spend it on Auto-ordinance or Magnum Research then!
in 1999 kahr arms bought auto-ordinance then in june, 2010, they bought magnum research.

Actually hp, you bring up some good information. I had read about Justin Moon before purchasing the Kahr. I really don't like the fact that the company is associated with Moonies, Unification church, etc. I even gave the Glock 26 a more serious look after reading about Kahr. Ultimately, I decided to roll with the CM9 anyway and basically agree with swilk. At least maybe some of the $$ will stay in America. To each his own!

I went to the Cabelas in Scarborough yesterday to pick up some more bullets, had time to kill before a concert... While I was there I was able to fondle one of the CM9's. Based on what I could tell, the trigger is just a tad heavier than on my CW9, but I definitely like it! The ejection port is definitely smaller than on the CW and some of the slide internals are different as well but for the most part they are pretty similar. Now I just need to get this mortgage re-fi done and let the dust settle over the next month and I'll probably start looking for one if I still have cash!
