Try 46-47 grains of Benchmark and see how it shoots. Speed will be real close to 2600. Barnes bullets tend to shoot about 50 fps faster than a lead core bullet does. I think it is because they are harder and dont oburutrate as much and this cause less drag, increase MV. I just loaded up 20 rounds of the 200 TTSX's today using 47.0 Benchmark and set the bullets at 2.450 AOL. That should be close for yours too since you have the BFG barrel. h.h.

I may have to try out Benchmark in the spring.
I like what I see right now from the H4895 as far as groups go. Both rifles are printing groups where all bullets touch. I need to measure, but I am sure a nickel will cover them if not a dime (that is with the Hornady bullets, not the TTSX). I did not shoot the TTSX for accuracy, just to note differences in point of impact at 100 yards. I may even hold off any more load experimentation until I am out of the Hornadys.

I put together 3 Savage .358 BFGs on 16 WSM actions. Two of them were the newer single stack feed and one was the double stack feed. I liked the double better because it fed the 180 grain bullets best. h.h. Where did you get the actions for your builds? I would like to do another one but I want to avoid buying a new complete rifle if possible.

I bought a used rifle Sav 16 300 WSM off gunbroker and two of them were new Sav 16. Check with Savage Shooters.com for an action which you will need a large shank. h.h.
