Ethics smethics - you know your limitations, nobody else should confine you or belittle you for making shots you are comfortable with. If they do, ignore them and do good anyway.

Indy.... Hauling decoys was something I always got stuck with. The man could waste some time folding a blind up or some other trivial thing to waste time until I had the decoys hauled to the truck. Seems if i remember right every time I hunted with him the fields were too wet to drive the truck in to pick up the decoys but if he was by himself or hunting with someone else the ground was nice and frozen solid? ?? Point is though if you ever hunted with Duff you would understand the comment about calling for him and him being told to leave the calls in the truck. You ever heard a cat caught in a lawnmover with dull blades spinning reallllllllly slow? Well that sounds better. Good hunting was to be had by hunting a field next to them whem Duff was with him and calling. ;D At least I can get credit for lots of dead birds, even if I wasn't the one killing them Indy was the good luck charm for a few years. Every time he hunted with us ended in limits of geese. Never did figure that out. We did have to grind it out one day over by Geist. Last bird was picked up in a neighbors yard that I am sure Indy sailed. He wasn't a very good shot ;D

Oh I've hunted with Duff. He was my good luck charm (or I was his, not sure). Everytime he and I were together everyone limited and usually quick. Although from the sounds of things, apparently it wasn't his calling that closed the deal. And if I remember right, I do remember Art telling Duff not to call. I figured it was for good reason, but I was green enough at the game I just laughed, kept my mouth shut, and fed the guys Goose jerky.
