Eric, great looking calls!! Hope you do well.
I think this is your first time entering calls in Nationals? Going to Nashville will teach you a lot about the contest. After it is over, ask to see your score sheets. It will have all the judges scores on it for your calls. You can then see were your weaknesses are in their eyes. Unless you win, then just be happy ;D. It is interesting, but not very beneficial for anything other than curiosity. Next year will have a different set of ears and with that a different set of expectations from the judges.
Remember that the opinions of the 5 guys that run your calls at Nationals are not nearly as important as opinions of all the others that purchase your calls. You take pride in your work and that will direct you to being a successful callmaker. Good luck!!

Great advice. Thanks. Do you know if I can get a set of the sheets after if I am not present?

I'm not sure if you can get one after the compition ends or not. I have always asked for it right after they post the results. I don't think they even let you keep it at that time. I know that the midwest show sends out all the scores to every callmaker after the show is over. It is interesting to see one judge give you a 25 for "ease of use" (for example) and the next judge give you a 18-20 for the same thing? Not all judges are created equal. It is easier to impress a couple of hundred turkeys a year than it is to impress 5 judges.
