My wife (who's Dutch) has been making this soup for years. It's a recipe her mom brought from the old country and we use deer instead of beef. Fantastic on snowy/icy days like this! Recipe for those interested: Dutch Deer Soup Mix and make into 1” balls: 1 lb. ground deer burger 1/3 cup dried bread crumbs 1 tsp. salt 1 egg Then boil in 1 qt. of water for a few minutes Now add to crockpot: 2 pkg. Mirepoix Mix (frozen) from Kroger 1 qt. chicken broth Meat balls and the water they were boiled in 3 tsp. chicken bouillon Crockpot on low for 5 hours and add noodles in the last hour. Flavor to your taste!
