Spent a lot of time duck hunting the Oatsville bottoms several years ago.

Love to hunt ducks up in that area close to whiteoaks. Lost my deer lease, so looking for a Safe spot to take my 2 young boys hunting next deer season. Won't take them on public for sure.

I don't hunt near as far back as I used to for the fear of having to drag one out. It really was an end of an era and things changed drastically when Interlake sold 6000 acres of this ground to individuals and Gray Farms leasing their 8000 acres. For years it was like public ground that everybody used and abused. I am on a lease right here in my back yard from Gray Farms. We have 900 acres of spoils to play in. I never dreamed I would have to pay money to hunt, but the future is here now and is only going to get worse

None that I am aware of. The guys I know who take their's to processors usually use Sievers (Vincennes), Cannelburg, Adcox (across from Evansville Gun Club). There was a guy between Petersburg & Monroe City a few years ago (Joe's) that did processing during the season but have not seen his sign out on SR 61 for 2 or 3 years. If temps are cool enough and you just need a place to hang it while at work, shoot me a pm and I have a place you can hang it indoors.

Was thinking about hunting some public ground on my way to and from work in Pike. I got maps of the reserve along the patoka river. Looks like good hunting, and I didnt see many trucks off the side of the road. Anyone have any luck?
