I read in the paper that the Sullivan County commissioners approved trying for federal grant money to do a feasibility study for a 5,000 acre lake to be located near Hymera in Sullivan county. I am excited about this but have not been able to find any info on how likely it might happen. If I had a 5,000 acre lake 20 minutes from home I don't think I could hold down a full time job ;D Has anyone heard anything about this?

That would be awesome, a new lake to learn. 5K acres would put it towards the top in Indiana sizewise. Keep us posted!

You guys live there, have you heard anything. Heck I have 220,000 acres of Water 10 miles east of my house, LOL
But this new lake would be great for western Indiana, and eastern Illinois.
When I lived in IN I used to fish at Turtle Creek Lake a lot, it used to have amazing bass fishing, until they killed all of the lakes grass.
Now it's a great catfishing lake.
