Thanks buckbuster, I am suprised by how lopsided the poll is for '160. The friends I have had this conversation with thought I was crazy for going with the bow score. My taxi has a couple 170 gun kills that were brought in this season and WOW, so I can see both sides.

Archery, the extra challenge is worth alot more than 10 inches of antler. Just about did it last season.

I agree that archery hunting is more exciting. Its the challenge of the HUNT.

Kinda depends on the situation. A 160" that walks right into your shooting lane at 20 yards and all you have to do is pull your bow back, or a 170" that you have to rattle and grunt him in and then wait until he turns broadside, either is obviously a trophy but the buck you have to work for is fun. I prefer the excitement of having to bring him to you.

the day im sitting in my stand and a deer (doe or buck) steps out and my heart doesnt skip a beat or the hair on the back of my neck doesnt stand up when i hear a coyote or i dont look for the nearest tree when i see a hog in the woods......I quit hunting! so it doesnt matter what i hunt with or what i hunt, it just matters that i hunt.
