The most I ever saw at one time while hunting was 37 mule deer. They were all bucks and filed single file through a narrow spot on top of Horse Fly Peak in Colorado...... a sight to be seen for sure.. No, I could not catch up with them.

First year bow hunter kills a mid 130's that's older than dirt. Tell them about the drop tine at 15yds the week before...lol Taking me next year buddy!

I've been right there with you Woody! I watched in amasement as four 30 plus inch mule deer bucks crossed over that saddle in to parts unknown. I even thought about sleeping up there all night to try and catch one off guard in the morning. Never did see or hear of anyone ever killing one of those beasts. By the way, did you ever connect on an elk? We spent a lot of time down on Sage Hen, and I did manage to kill a 5x5 in an aspen meadow above camp one year. I still get an X-mas card from Jerry and Vicky every year, and Wayne and Nellie are still kicking! Awesome people!!!!! He sure hated porcupines!!!!!!

You mean the ones that bedded on that little shelf on the side of Horse Fly where no one could get within 800 yards of them? I'd say that they are still there. Got to be world records by now. That mass of bucks I saw was over by the Three Springs area. I never elk hunted there as in the early days there were not that many elk there and as soon as any hunters showed up they booed into the next drainage. The first year I hunted at the Hot T it was $75 for 6 days of hunting - food included. Non-resident deer archery tags were $25. The next year it was $125 for 6 days food included. Non-resident deer archery tags were still $25. THEN - The staff from Bowhunter magazine went out there and wrote an article about the Hot T and the prices went up to over $250. I never went back there after that. I did bow hunt, mostly mulies, all over western Colorado - north to south I did manage to bow kill an elk over at Haystack Mountain in the Grand Mesa National Forest. I had heard that Wayne and/or Nellie passed on ? ? ? ?

Saw two does at one time during youth season. Only saw one deer at any one time during gun season. Saw maybe a total of only six deer this year (youth, gun, and muzzleloader combined). All does. I saw one when it was starting to get real dark during gun season, and was a pretty big one. It's actually possible it could have been a spike. Still, I probably didn't go out nearly as much as some of you other guys.

Singles or occasionaly pairs are by far the most common on my place Magnum. One of those that came up the north draw to you was actually a pair, by the time they got back to you they had separated. (That would be due to me!) I have seen triples a handful of times. Even out in that field I don't recall ever seeing more than 3 at once. The KY farms are where I can get into a bunch at once.

Well the most I saw was 2. My best estimate of hunters that day in my section was 17. The deer are highly pressured and go nocturnal on day 2 of the gun season. I saw one more deer on that property the rest of the gun season and ML season.

I PROMISE you I am NOT lying here... I broke my record this year on opening morning of the shotgun season. I sat from legal light to 11am and counted 63 deer. 10 were bucks (3 were shooters...out of range). That evening I saw 13 for a total of 76 for the day. Before that my previous record was 41 deer counted the opening morning of shotgun season two years ago. Obviously, where I hunt, it gets pretty exciting on opening morning gun seaons
