I have some experience with what ridgerunner is saying. I am the Street Supervisor for a hamilton co. city and we have problems with the State Highway guys dumping roadkills in our area. We get called about deer being hit only to discover they have been dumped at the location. I actually have a guy we hired from the state highway who not only confirmed that this happens but where the main dump spots are. Not saying this is the case with this buck just saying it does happen. I know some of those guys from State highway and have heard the stories....but whatever...it can NEVER happen under the cover of darkness...

We are on good terms with our CO. He will come when called, always has. Seems to me he's as dedicated as they come. Can't and won't say anything negative about what they do for us. Incidents like this are almost impossible to stop, I know that. We have had trouble with the County Sheriffs office wanting to come out for dopers and when we find plants and meth evidence but that is another story. GD- Yes, it could have been dumped. Don't know why it wasn't skull capped or cape if it was a legal kill though. Don't know 100% for sure it was a 10, but we have or had one in that same area. Well not sure why you are privy to such a quick response and none of us are. Ive lived in this county my whole life and poaching is a serious issue. The CO allegedly caught someone last year, but wouldnt say who. Not sure what came of it either, and it was close to our property. I question the dedication. Honestly, I would rather them tackle the meth issue than my trespassing complaints. Ive called the sherrif and the CO regarding meth complaints to no avail. I spent years investigating meth heads who abuse their parents and I have no tolerance for it. Anyrate, hate to hear that you lost one. Glad to hear you get better response from the CO's than we do.

Easy what? I know Tom, nothing against him at all. Its not my fault there is a lack of response...I kinda feel like im the one harassing everytime I call. More poaching going on in this county than I dont know what...and its sad because a little ivestigating should result in some tickets.

Guys , I'm sure we all know what happened here. Vectrix you use to work with a guy years ago who bragged about crap like this all the time , he moved away years ago and these problems slowed way down or stopped, hell he may have moved down south who knows I'm sure each an every one of us would be ed if this happened on a place we had to hunt and I totally understand timex's frustration with this crap now lets not eat our own over someone else's trashy ways I'd be the 1st to agree that not lazt state highway work would have dumped that in the middle of the night , they only work from 10 to 2 with a hour lunch in the middle and Vectrix can even attest to this lol! right Vectrix? what ever happened to the Co's setting up deer decoy's and busting guys that do this crap? lets talk about that

Lyman- I hear what your saying. Again, we have no issues with the CO and we're glad of that. I know they can't work 24/7 and respect that they need their off duty time as all of us that work do. On the other hand, we have had little success getting the Sheriffs office to investigate meth makers and weed growers. Last year we had a methhead set up shop in our duck blind, got his vehicle stuck in the corn field and still was never arrested. We also found a dozen or so plants and had to beg for someone to come to the area to look at them, when they got there, the fatazz didn't want to climb the levee to look at them. I finally left in disgust and don't have a clue what they did with them. Back the the deer-- the blood was freash, could have been a road kill? , but not likely, don't see any road kills being relocated......ever, and don't see any meat wagons operating at night, IMO it was shot that night by a poacher, if you think the road dept. put it there than so be it, hope you don't get it by the same group.

I don't know but it must be an epidemic..Found this one poached out front of the house this morning... The .jpg says roadkill, which is what it looks like??? but it's still laying there....strange. Thought the road dept. moved them to private lands during the night? Got any other jokes about scumbags that shoot deer at night? I'm not amuzed yet by any of of your comments but keep trying to help them cover it up.

Yeah I think they dumped it off in the middle of the night greg.... we believe it was a "roadkill" as they were driving down the road and rolled their window down and shot him where he was crossing the road..hence the roadkill on the photo jpg..It's out of control...why would anyone shoot a deer, load it up, cutt the rack off and dump it on the side of the road like this..?

the pic you have there ridge runner is on a black top road the deer timex is talking about is off a gravel road where speeds are much slower not to say that you cant hit and kill a deer on a gravel road but when it has no signs off broken legs or any road rash plus the fact that it has a bullet hole in the chest on the other side of his body more than likely leads me to believe it was poached
