How many kids, or adults wanna come back next year and do it all over again. And tell us why or what made your weekend a weekend to remember. This should be a fun topic with lots of responses.

yeah that was bad wasnt it. but after shooting it later im not sure it was all my fault. mine would have to be being able to sit with the 4 young men i took out and being with the one who got the only kill of the weekend that was really special to me.

On a serious note....Shawn and myself had a blast, camping, hunting and just hanging out with other hunters. If he asked me once he asked me a thousand times if we where gonna be able to do it again next year.
Shawn has told everyone about the tent collapsing on me Sat. afternoon during the hurricane!

I know me and the boys would love to come back next year. Trey for the obvious reason since he killed a deer and Tanner wants to come back so he can prove he can kill a deer. But most of the fun was with the people who were there. Both boys made some new friends as did I. You guys have a fantastic place there. The only thing I would change is I would bring the pop up camper along in case my tent fails me again lol. It's exciting to me to hear the "big buck" stories being told by a youth. That is what it's all about.

We'd love to come back next year, but this will be it. The Princess will be almost 19 by then and Andrew will only have that fall before he's 18 so 1 more time. Good fellowship and seeing/being a part of all the first time and young hunters experiences is very rewarding. We'll have to see if we can convince the Princess to make the trek from Ball State to man the kitchen again.

We'll do it again.....probably use 2 or 3 other farms in the area, but still headquarter at the trailer for meals and what little bit of sleep everyone got.
I'd like to see it later in Oct. but that another bridge to cross. I think we would do better with most of the crops out of the fields?

Yup! I always enjoy the deer camp environment. Liars club, cutting-up, fun loving smack talk, & comical mishaps. I really enjoyed talking with young quiet Kishla. Look out boys she's gonna be a great deer huntress!!!!

Hasn't been mentioned before, but Kishla and her mentor got a shot on Sunday evening. The deer came into the beans and were in a low spot, so after awhile they had to abandon the blind and do the belly crawl deal to close the range. She got within 50 yards and tried the shot. It appeared to be a hit, but we looked for awhile in the dark and then again the next morning for over an hour but could never find any blood. I wish we could have recovered that deer, but with no blood, I think she might have missed her mark?

Good for her! She had 2 shot opportunities over the weekend with her trusty .410 slug gun.

even with the few misses, the bad weather saturday night, very little sleep, and one guy even rolling out of bed it seems to me the weekend went over as a hit for everyone. looking forward to seeing all of you again in the future. next year we will make sure to get a few more deer back to camp for the little guys and gals that come out.

I still use my 20 Ga. exclusively for Indiana deer hunting. FYI: I get awesome downrange accuracy & knockdown with Lightfield Hybrid Sabots in my rifled barrel.....

Yes, of course Blake and I would love to come back. He will probably have plenty of stories to tell about deer hunting and the coyotes. We had a lot of fun with the kids and the adults.
