I took most of the measurements, but still not exactly sure how to "score" him....... I need to check online again for the proper procedure.
His left brow tine was broken off, his right G-2 was broken off, and his kicker was broken off........ but then again, the kicker is only going to subtract from the over all score anyway!
I'm just curious to his GROSS score, I don't care about net............. I feel that if the deer grew it, then you should score it!! But that's just me!

. . . THE STORY................................................
On Friday evening (11/30/07), real cold and very windy! Around 5:20 (sun had just went behind the horizon) I noticed a small buck enter the cut corn field on the opposite side, from me. He started feeding around for a little while, then jerked his head up and suddenly, and gave a stare back into the woods. A few seconds later I spot a bigger buck walking up to the edge of the fence. He slowly eased up to the fence row and paused (I grab and raise my binoculars on him), and I immediately said to myself......... SHOOTER! A buck that just looked good from the "get-go"! Outside his ears and with some decent mass too. I watched him jump the fence and come into the cut field with the smaller buck. The deer are now 190 yds from me! They need to work their way to me, and hopefully at least another 100yds! The big buck is now starting to graze about. The smaller buck walks up to the bigger buck... they sniff each other (almost touching noses), then dropped their heads and start play sparring with each other. They smelled each other one more time, and the little buck walked away. The little guy came on across the field, and crossed out in front of me at about 80yds. The bigger buck was staying back and feeding about. By 5:30 the bigger bucks has now grazed his way within my confident gun range (100yds). While glassing him.... I thought that I noticed some type of "dagger" sticking out in front of his bases?!? I was staring at him through the binos as he grazed around trying to get a better look at this possible KICKER point!! Since he was in range, and now at about 80 yds from me..... I picked up my MDM .45 cal muzzleloader and turned the scope up to 9x to check out his rack one more time.............. I then decided for POSITIVE that I was going to take this buck! I took my time, put the crosshairs at 2 inches behind the shoulder crease, and 2/3 the way up his body........ and squeeeeezed off the trigger! BAAAM ~ he drops like a rock, dead in his tracks!! BUCK DOWN BABY!!! Shot at 60yds. Just a huge bodied deer too, field dressed just over 200 lbs! Got him figured at 3.5 yrs old. He did indeed have a 6 1/8" kicker/dagger that comes out the side of his right base and curves back straight forward! BONUS!! ;D My patience has finally paid off, as I passed up 26 bucks last year that was either in bow range or gun range..... and wound up choosing not to harvest a buck last year at all. And this year I have seen LOTS of bucks that I've decided to pass on waiting for one bigger than what I already have mounted. And it finally happened! He is a great buck for me, and I am tickled pink about it!!
