I just stumbled onto this forum a couple months ago and it looks to me like this Woody fellow here is as deer crazy as I am. Woody you seem to keep this place full of interesting topics and you are really knowledgeable on whitetail hunting. Wish there was a million more like you. Did you start this Forum?

This is Woody's world, he just allows the rest of us to play here! Welcome aboard by the way. I think this is the most reasonable and friendly Indiana based hunting site, by far. Woody does a great job of keeping it that way!

Woody launched this site about a year ago, after he got fed up with the incessant bickering on other Indiana websites, Indian Sportsmen went belly up, and Hoosier Hunting only allows people to post what they agree with (no opposing views to the IDHA are allowed)…
I believe that Woody does an excellent job on this site of being fair and balanced…when things get out of had he’ll lock down a thread (as he rightly did for one of mine a few weeks ago) and I enjoy reading and posting here.
You’ll notice that as this site grows the other Indian sites all seem to be dieing…look at Bowsite it’s almost dead…

I agree with your assessment. However, Indiana Sportsmen is still up and running. I still check out the other two sites but I don't post much there.

Hunting-Indiana.com is a little over two years old. I've been on a number of sites and even participated in the "bickering" myself as most of the old hands on here can tell you. IndianaSports MEN (Not IndianaSports MAN) did go belly up twice. It was started by Rick Lyon and was a good site, but it too had a lot of "bickering". Since I was on the net a lot I thought why not start my own forum.. Hornharvester turned me on to Pro Boards and he became my mentor in getting this joint going. We decided early on that the bickering personal attacks would not be tolerated. We do our best to monitor and be as impartial as we can in enforcing the rules. Some disagree on some enforcements that we have done and that is their prerogative. The site has grown very nicely and we get a lot of good hunting and outdoor chatter going with only a few flare ups now and then. As I have said in the past, the forum belongs to you guys and gals. The mods and myself are just caretakers. I and the mods appreciate your support, but I would ask that you don't cut down the other sites on here as we all have our own little niche. We also have a lot of dual and triple members. As long as each site is supporting hunting, I am all for them. Thanks... WW

I am a member of all three sites. There are good guys on all of them and there are several who are on all three. I feel most at home here, but there is sure room for all of them. The more the merrier and the more places to go to get our hunting fix.

Then this place was pretty new when I signed on. This is by far the longest I've ever been with any forum, and I think that the site is pretty well run. There seems to be a lot less of the "my bow/gun is better than yours," " I'm-a-real-hunter-you're-not," and like attitudes.
I've always said pretty much what I believe while trying to keep it civil, and I've never got in trouble.
The members of this site are an incredible mixture of skills and talents. Great place.

2 years old! Our forum is now toddling around, fingerpainting is its favorite activity, and it spouts out things like MINE! and why?. There is also an orange ring around the bathtub on spaghetti night.

For all those that enjoy the site, I highly recommend trying to make the next HI get together. If visiting this forum is more fun than a barrel of monkeys then it is impossible to put enough monkeys into enough barrels to describe the fun of our first get together.

I'm still mad at myself that I'm not in the picture.
