Doesn't have to be "joe" who felt intimidated, just anyone in the vicinity. That's why unless there are explicit laws permitting unrestricted Open Carry in most places you can get in trouble for it. And glocks won't go off if dropped. Very few pistols will. But Glocks WILL go off if you cram them in your pants without making sure your fly doesn't catch the trigger... thereby shooting you in the thigh. A possibility unique to that weapon, which has always kept me from ever considering owning one. Not any more. Lotsa "safe action" style pistols out there now. There is the Sigma series, and the Ruger SR9, to name a couple...

There is the Sigma series, and the Ruger SR9, to name a couple... Shows how long I've been out of the "buy the latest, newest" pistol craze. Regardless, i never cared for that action type.
