I woke up this morning with the feeling of getting the news that I have a terrible disease and the real sickness will take about 3 months to kick in. I wonder how long it will take all those people who voted for the wonderful Government handouts to realize just exactly who will be paying for them?

I didnt vote for him but I will still call him my president. Now that he has the job he works for us and we need to do a sufficient job of making our demands and desires heard.

I woke up this morning and avoided the news.... did not even look at the paper... drove my daughter to school with the radio turned off... thinking that the longer I put off hearing who won... the better it would be... My plan was to avoid it all day.... no such luck stopped at the gas station to pick up a drink on my way home from the school... and the Arab owner says to me... "so Obama won... you are all in trouble now infidels".... He is a funny man... and was a McCain supporter to boot... While I did not support Obama in his run for office... I will do my best to support him (when I agree with his plans) while he is president... Hey I managed to serve 4 years in the Army under Clinton... and I did not defect to Canada..... although the though did cross my mind.

I guess the difference between me and all those in Grant Park last night boils down to this:
They were looking for someone to MAKE them happy.... whereas I can do it for myself.

The first Arab American to win, Good thing were not war with the Arabs.......er ..uh... This is the kinda of BS that lost us the race for the the White House and Congress! Stick to the real issues! So by this logic (if it could be called that) if we go to war with Europe does that mean no person of European descant can be President?! Look at how many Senate and Houes races the GOP lost! Dole lost the Senate seat becasue she started running ADs that suggested that the DEM Candidate was supporting Godless America?! So only the GOP are Christians?!

I remember being in the Army under Pres. Clinton. He, Obama, was elected by a wide margin in the Pop. Vote; first time for a Dem in 42 years according to some NEWS accounts. The last thing we need to do is drop out of the process.

In the '04 race 70% of those who voted for Lurch later admitted that they were really just voting against Bush, looks like some folks didn't learn the first time...

Funny thing is - His Odiferousness only gets to stink up the Whithouse because the Electoral System, like "true" democracy is totally biased toward Urban Center Mobs.
BO doesn't have a mandate anywhere but in the Electoral College. This was a 51/49 election.
Urban America has discovered that they can out-vote everybody... which means that no matter how many rural "republicans" you get a Rural Candidate will never win a national election ever again.
Just look at what urban REPUBLICANS did to Palin as soon as she started lifting the DOA McCain campain.
The Republican Party is a Non Entity. The RINOS don't even have to pretend any more. In January they may as well go ahead and join The Party.
After appointing a non-conservative/RINO to the Candidacy then spitting on the one thing that McCain did right (Palin) there is nothing in the Republican Party left for Rural America to trust.
AFAIC good riddance.
If nothing else, this "election" proves that there is and will be no significand difference between the Republicans and Democrats. Sure, the Repubs are somewhat less anti gun and somewhat less pro-abortion, but JUST LIKE THE DEMOCRATS they were all about controlling one or another aspect of people's lives.
The Electorate just proved that they would rather have their financial lives controlled than their personal lives controlled - and that is all.
We need to get off this falsely Bi-Polar bandwagon and put together somthing that truly means somthing... that has the CONSTITUTION - not Karl Marx or "Biblical Interpretation X", but the actual, fundamental, LOGICAL foundation established by the Founders.
The Campaign for Liberty is a good start.
But the Republican Party needs to die a quick death. It's not like they will have any more media or campaign finance advantage over a Free Rural America Party next cycle anyway.
The Dems & Rinos will see to that.

I get a kick out of everyone who gave Obama a title and pigeon holed him into one thing or another. I think in all fairness we need to support him until he does something we disagree with. He has plenty on his plate that is more important than taking away your 12 gauge at the moment.

The first Arab American to win, Good thing were not war with the Arabs.......er ..uh... Er... uh.... you do realize he's christian, not muslim, and is black, not arab.... Maybe if some folks checked the facts instead of swallowing every lie spouted by the Rushettes and RNC, you'd know better... I've held my piece for the most part on this board, but frankly haven't been here much lately, cause I'm sick too.... sick of the racist, bigoted crap I keep seeing on here... Man got elected President of the United States and beat everyone else who ran straight up by the same rules everyone else had to follow... Cowboy up and get over it...

Who around here ever said Barack shouldn't be president because he's black? I must have missed that post. And yes, like most everyone else, I will give him a chance and judge him objectively on the basis of his decisions and logic. I'm glad to not see a lot of racism and bigotry going on around here, and I have no idea how you came to that conclusion.

I am mixed (50% black) myself, so race has never been an issue with me. I hate the ideas of socialism and I will not cower down and hand anything over to anyone that defies the 2nd ammendment. I have no choice but to give Obama a chance, but it doesn't mean I have to agree with his views or ideas.

I have read the posts where you mention that you are physically ill after finding out that Obama was elected. How do you know he will bring destruction to the United States? Just curious, how many of you are fortune tellers or prophets? Where is this crystal ball that you gaze into to see the future. I wish I had that ball 8 years ago. If we knew then what type of president Baby Bush was going to be we would have aborted him on the spot. No one knows what any presidency will be like. We just hope for the best and vote for the one we think will be the best leader. Obviously the people have spoken at the polls. As for rascism being a factor in the way republicans that I know that voted.....Absolutely. I have heard so many people that are friends and even family say that there was "No way I'm voting for a F-ing N-word or Raghead". I have even heard several people say that he won't make it two years before someone takes him out and thats what they pray for. I am so sick of this s#$t!! If this is what our society has came down to we deserve whatever we get. I will pray for Obama to govern to the best of his ability and to do the right thing for all of this country's citizens.

He has plenty on his plate that is more important than taking away your 12 gauge at the moment. That's right. Handguns (handgun ammo) will be taxed to death first. Followed by Military "sniper" ammo. And the EPA will administratevly regulate Lead into an essential ban. But no, the 12ga is very low on the list. There are a bunch of Cirtori owners on the Obama Wagon. I don't need a "crystal ball" to tell what an Obama/Pelosi/Shumer administration will do. We have their words and writings. "We will bankrupt you".

Give me a break, surely you have more to offer than playing the race card - it's his policies and we (the majority on here) find unpalatable. Yes there has been a few false emails reposted on here; but if you really think race is the problem we have with the man you truly don't understand us at all. Next...... I sure don't understand why there are those who think we should "give him a break" his policies and political goals are clear - Really now! Do you think he is someone different because he was elected? He is still a liberal extremist that will try to implement as much of his beliefs as he feels he can without endangering his chances for a second term. Ditto the liberals in congress. If he wants anything else but my contempt he is going to have to earn it. I'm already sick of the "oh he's our president" so what, he has to stand on his own merit - I couldn't possibly care less what anyone's title is.
