I am thinking of applying for Dunes hunt. This will only be my second year of hunting. Should I put in or wait till I have more experience before trying a reduction hunt? Go for it! You can apply with 1-2 others so maybe you can find someone who is an experienced hunter to apply with. If you follow all the safety rules you shouldn't have any trouble. The best way to learn is be in the woods. Good luck, h.h.

I really enjoy the park hunts. I usually put in every year and get draw most years. I enjoy them for a lot of reasons. Not only because you never know what is going to show up, but also because I just love to deer hunt in most any form.

Dunes has so far been the only place in Indiana where I have been able to hunt "my way" - since they want does culled and the DNR FWA properties are "buck only" during gun season. Day One of the 2 day hunt is awsome. Day 2 is lame... all the deer have gone into the deep swamp or are nibbling ficus over in Beverly Shores. But I'm 2 for 2 within 15 minutes of Open on day 1.
