Well, I'm still hunting, and all I have to say is I wish it were colder. I saw 2 half racked 8 pointers last night, and a full racked 10 pointer along with 5 does. Also saw a doe at 4:30AM in my neighborhood in Fishers this morning!!! I've never seen deer around the house till today, Travis can you believe it in my neighborhood? I'll be going back out this afternoon and the rest of the week. I'm employing the philosphy if it is brown it is down! Good luck to the dedicated hunters who are still at it!!!

I just come in from shooting my bow in the back yard and boy i used some muscles that haven't been used in a while, pulling 70 lbs. the last time i shot the bow was in early November. shot around a dozen arrows and quit for today. i might hunt the late archery season but I'm mainly getting ready for hog hunting in Florida the first two weeks of Feb. good luck to you die hard late season bow hunters. h.h.

With these mild temps, I would love to be out there, if not for deer movement, then for my comfort. However, my only huntable stand has water 3 feet up the tree, and I'm not swimming!

I've been out several times in late bow, not seeing much. I haven't seen any bucks this last week.
I missed a pretty good buck last day of Muzzleloader season, 60 yards nice easy shot, never found a drop of blood or any hair, looked for most of the day. So I just flat out missed
I'm still going at it still got little over a week left.

I'm not going to get out at all for the next 4 days- I just started a semi-major bathroom remodel last night. I'd still like to get out again a couple of times though.

I'd go get another doe tag if we'd get some white stuff on the ground. Nothing like hunting in the snow! Not looking good though......
Get us another one Donnie! Your subdivision is pretty shy of woodlots nearby, I'd say that doe was lost big time! LOL. Probably nibbling on the buds of some ornamental trees. It's been so warm it wouldn't surprise me if the trees start budding already!!!!

Went last eve, it was like hunting in October. Seen a good one hounding a small doe, two fighting and had a six point with alot of mass and a big ten walk by at 28 yds. The limb that I knew I should trim was in the way!!!!!!

I've seen deer further down 96th street towards Giest but not where I live....she was lost and she was eating off of the neighbors tree that has red berries on it....the neighbor said that she saw 2 deer on x-mas day in the same place you talk about lost..........I wonder what they'd think if I sat in a chair behind thier 1/2 privacy fence and shot on of them with my bow over the fence with the aid of the house lights/christmas lights? ? That'd be fun, trailing a deer through my neighborhood....

You still have a buck tag Donnie.......if a porker were standing in the back yard, and your bow was right there............................ Hehehe

I made my last trip out on Friday. I saw deer everywhere and ended up shooting a huge doe at 40 yards, got a double lung and she ran about 30 yards and fell over. It was a good way to end the season.
