I'm not claiming I know anything about this deer. I have just seen a picture of a deer somewhat similar to this deer that was on a farm. That was also about three years ago.

So now you just saw a picture of one like it "somewhere" on a farm. Well a few days ago you seemed to know exactly who owned it, spelled them out by name, what happened to that story? <EDIT>DANF- Folks seem to have plenty to talk about around here without any shred of evidence or facts. Why cloud the waters with information? It's more fun listening to these guys tell it. Threads like this are a great litmus test for credibilty and character of internet posters.

Rodney Bruce did own it and I saw the pictures three or four years ago when it was in velvet. I do not believe this is the same buck even a little bit. The antlers resembled a star type asterisk shape. I have never seen a deer that looked like that before so it stuck in my mind. When I saw this deer it just reminded me of it. I have never been to Rodney’s place and I do not know him. The picture belonged to a neighbor who does know him. Again this was three or four years ago so I do not believe at all this is the same deer.
I do apologize for bringing this up I am sure it takes away from a great trophy which was most likely taken by fair chase. I know when I originally posted it had some implications I did not intend. It just struck me that I had seen a similar deer several years ago.
