National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation...funniest Christmas movie ever, and probably one of the funniest movies ever made. It is a family tradition to sit around the TV late on Christmas Eve and watch Christmas Vacation as we wrap presents for the kids the next morning. I bust a gut every time I see that just like I'd never seen it before. My favorite scene probably has to do with the cousin with the trailer and Clark's boss at the end...a classic! It is a very funny movie! I like the part where "Clark" goes into a tirade when he learns that his Christmas bonus is a membership in a "Jelly-of-the-month" Club. ;D

I would have thought you would have liked The Ref. It's a beauty case study... and a funny Christmas movie too. "I'm in Hel... i've kidnapped my parents!" ;D

Christmas Story.....hands down winner.
If you visit the Indiana Historical Society on Ohio St. in Indy, they have a room set up just like the living room from the movie. You can take your own pics with cut outs of Ralphie and stuff. Also, their gift shop is loaded with Christmas Story decorations and items.....including the authentic leg lamp! The full size version was over $200, but they had smaller versions that start at like $40. It's a great place to get some cool gifts and decor!

I must be the only one on here that can't stand Chevy Chase!
I liked the "Ref", but for a Comedy I would have to go with Home Alone. I also like the original animated "Grinch" and "Rudolph" cartoons, but my all time favorite Christmas movie is "Miracle on 34th St.".

The first year that A Christmas Story was out after watching it my wife said that she wanted a Daisey Red Ryder Carbine for Christmas too.
Even though I told her - "You'll shoot your eye out!", guess what Santa brought her?
It is still in the gun cabinet along with it's big brother guns.
She hasn't shot her eye out yet......

I must be the only one on here that can't stand Chevy Chase! Probably. Good point--I wasn't thinking of Home Alone. That one's a classic, especially for our age cohort!! I also love the Grinch and Rudolph cartoons, which are also especially meaningful for those our age. And I've never seen "Miracle on 34th Street"--maybe one we need to see sometime?? And how could I forget A Charlie Brown Christmas?!?! www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1JBR9jGMYA

Looks like Santa was good to you. Is your wife going to let you put in in the front window?

"How the Grinch Stole Christmas" because I am a grinch, and "A Charlie Brown Christmas" because it reminds me of why I shouldn't be.

Definitely a must- see. The original is by far the better version. Natalie Wood plays the little girl.
That movie has so many hilarious scenes, it's hard to pick a favorite, but everytime I see Eddie wearing that black Dickie underneath the white sweater, I can't stop laughing.
