Very well said OI. I could NOT agree more. It is a sad state of affairs when you realize it may be high time to actually hide a few guns away. . .

Any of you NRA Uber Alles types out there: I challange you. Prove me wrong. Please.
My interpretation is the interpretation of the California BATFE feild office.
Prove to me that my interpretation is wrong.
Show me in Title 18 of the USC where my interpretation is wrong and I will apologize to the NRA.

I dont think the NRA needs you to apologize to them ..... I dont think they care what you think or what your "interpretation" of anything is.

You are right. My interpretation matters squat. It's the interpretation of the BATFE and Anti-Gun judges and Pols that matters.
And they will, and are, interpreting it as I do.

Correct...for once. The BATF interprets the laws of the country and attempts to enforce them as written. Most of society agree with that concept. I see no need for every single person in this country to be guaranteed ownership to a firearm. That includes felons and nut jobs adjuducated as such. The law already specifies those can't and shouldn't. This law makes an improvement on what is already in place.

What exists now will not always apply. A shift in Politics or Personnel could radically change how any individual Officer or Field Office handles such cases.
Not all Officers/Agents have the courage/moral fiber to refuse to prosecute unethical, unconstitutional law.
EDIT...
You either defend it ALL or you are willing to let innocent people die to save your own hide. There's no other position.

It is not an officers job to "prosecute" any law. Their job is to "enforce" laws.

You really want to go down this road?

It is not an officers job to "prosecute" any law. Their job is to "enforce" laws. And you like enforcers. I get that. No matter how evil or noxious, "I was only following orders" didn't work in Neurenburg. Doesn't work here either.
